The 55th Annual General Meeting of the Mahurangi East Residents and Ratepayers Association Inc (MERRA) was held at Scott House on Sunday 5 May 2024. The meeting included an informative update and Q&A session on the local oyster farms with Andrew (Nod) Hay, reports from the Chair and Treasurer, and election of a new committee for the 2024/25 year. The meeting acknowledged the outstanding contribution of former MERRA Chair Stuart Windross, who is standing down after 10 years on the Committee; Peter Seers, who is standing down after four years as MERRA Chair but will continue to serve on the Committee, and Annie Bradley, who is standing down after two years on the Committee.
