In accordance with rule 14.2 of our current rules the Mahurangi East Resident and Ratepayers Association Inc. (MERRA) Executive has called for a Special General Meeting (SGM) to be held at Rosedale, 9 Charles Street, Mahurangi East at 5.00 pm on Friday July 11th, 2025.
The purpose of the SGM and the business to be conducted is:
- To approve the Constitution to be adopted by Mahurangi East Residents and Ratepayers Association Inc. (MERRA) to take effect upon our re-registration under the Incorporated Societies Act 2022.
- To confirm that the executive appointed at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on May 4th 2025 will be the Executive Committee of MERRA upon re-registration.
Following the most recent AGM where it was resolved that MERRA would re-register as an incorporated society, a draft Constitution was made available on our website, with a request that any objections or concerns be raised prior to the Executive Committee meeting on June 08. None were raised, though the Committee have made a few very minor wording and formatting changes, none of which alter the rights or responsibilities of members.
