The dilapidated staircase giving access from Ridge Road to the Presbyterian Cemetery has been refurbished by MERRA as part of its newly formed alliance with the Church and the ongoing care of the site.
The project was headed by Stuart Windross who assembled a small band of willing volunteers and with the help of donated materials, was able to complete the job in one day.
Thanks goes to Stuart, David Legg, David Stevens and Dave Sidders for their efforts and also to Kyle Brown who donated some reinforcing rod to the project.
Residents are invited to try the new stairs out and to check out the cemetery where many settler families are at rest.
