The annual Scotts Landing community rubbish cleanup was held on Sunday 3 November. This event includes residents of the peninsular cleaning all roadways and beaches from the top of Ridge Road to Scotts Point and all side roads along the way.
Organiser David Legg said about 2 1/2 wheelie bins of rubbish was collected – approximately half the usual collection. David said this is a positive sign – either people are less inclined to discard their rubbish or people are picking up rubbish independent of the annual cleanup day. Or, very likely, both.
